From Talking Beer Cans
to ‘Telling Stories’ in Jigsaw Puzzles
Yes, I am partially responsible for a Talking Beer Can!
It was my first job as a Project Engineer, working with Coors Lite, and it featured in the prestigious Time Magazine.
A position as UK Commerical Manager for the toy company K’Nex followed,
before spending over 20 years in the wonderful world of Jigsaw Puzzles at Gibsons.
I had always fancied having a go at illustrating jigsaws but never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be possible. We arranged a meeting at Gibsons stand the following day, and as they say, the rest is history.
One of the best days of my life.”
I learnt everything about Jigsaw Puzzles from the master himself – Michael Gibson.
‘Tell a Story’ with your jigsaw puzzle. It isn’t just a painting but also a personal connection with the Puzzler.
Together, we developed hundreds of Jigsaw Puzzles and worked with many talented artists.
It was fun designing playing cards for Harrods, a Rovers Return model house
and even a jigsaw puzzle for a rock band!
Moving on from Gibsons after 23 years has opened up a new exciting world!
One, where I hope I can use my knowledge & experience to help even more artists achieve their dreams.
From 2004 to 2022, my primary contact and collaborator at Gibsons was Geoff Lee.
Geoff is immensely likeable, and I always really appreciated his input
in creating all those 4 puzzle box sets over the years.
If you are an Artist or a Retailer interested in Jigsaw Puzzles,
I would love to hear from you!
